In Memory Of
Jerry Glen Andrews
Message by a new friend in Sultan, Kathy Gould - November 12, 2009
I met Jerry at the Methodist church which Bill and I attended for about 1 1/2 years. Jerry was always a "silent worker" always behind the scenes working tirelessly. Three years ago I moved permanetly to Sultan and would give Jerry a hug everytime I saw him. It was bittersweet for me to run into him at the Red Apple and watch him progress in his illness...it brought memories of my husband dieing of cancer in my arms-a three year battle. Everytime I went past Jerry's mobile park I would zap him with prayer. He was such a loving presence outside the food bank. When there was an article in the Monroe paper regarding his work with the food bank I was surprised to learn he was the head of it-again his selflessness. i teased him about it and got another hug as I thanked him. I was truly better for knowing him. With prayers knowing that Jerry is now with my husband watching over us. Sincerely, Kathy Gould
